Post 10: ENGLISH LANGUAGE CHALLENGES

Learning english in this university has been a great experience. I think that it's a very useful subject, and the contents of the class are applicable to a real english conversation, for example, we have learned how to give directions, how to talk about some problems, how to describe a place or a situation, and even we learned some financial vocabulary. I'm sure that this knowledge will be very useful in the future.

About the use of blogs, i'm very happy with that. It's entertaining to learn english while you are talking about something that you like or you don't. It makes everything more enjoyable. Besides, it's great to know more about our classmates, and to know what they think about our posts. The combination of expression, interaction and learning makes everything easier. Maybe the only thing that i would change is the fact that we have to be in the computer lab to make the post, while we can perfectly do it at home. I would like to have the chance of doing the class at home without having attendance troubles.
To talk about me, i need to improve my speaking ability. I know a lot of vocabulary and grammar, but my pronunciation is horrible. I don't know how to improve this ability, because i don't have someone who can practice with me. So, by now, i'm trying to improve it by singing a lot in english and talking alone in my room (i hope my parents have'nt listened me talking like a crazy oldman).
Finally, outside the class, i try to use english wherever i can. I watch movies and series in english without subtitles (sometimes i have to put on the subtitles because i can't understand what word are saying in the movie, but i try to not do that), and also, i like to read in english, but only short tales because they are easier for me. I've never tried to read a huge book in english, but i'm thinking of doing it soon.
